Are you dreaming of paddling to some of the pearls of the High Coast, but feel a bit unsure of your kayaking skills?
In the Summer of 2025 we will offer guided day-tours, and some over-night tour, to some of the absolute highlights for kayaking.
Some examples:
- The High Coast bridge – paddle under the bridge, and see the enormous pylons (the ”legs”) close-up
- ”Under the Bridges” – paddling under the High Coast bridge, but also the beautiful elder valve bridge Sandö bridge, and the adjacent Svanö bridge
- The Norafjärden Bay – a delightfully beautiful bay that is also protected from most waves and winds
- Storön (Great Island)- the forgotten gem of the High Coast (used to be closed off as a military protection area)
- Högbonden – the dramatic lighthouse island
- Norrfjärden Bay – below and with a good view of Skuleberget Mountain
- Balesudden Point, with a walk up to the crystal clear Balestjärnen tarn
- Trysunda – ”the most beautiful island in Sweden”
The first few are day tours going from our pier at Ramöviken; Trysunda will be with transport by car and trailer, and overnight camping on the island, and the remaining with car to an optimal starting point, day tours.
Further info on details, such as dates and prices, will be out during spring – keep an eye out on this web page!
Your guide will share fascinating facts about the High Coast, its unique history and geology and its significance as a World Heritage. You will also have a chance to learn of the marine life in and by these waters, and gain some understanding for the fragility and beauty of the ecosystem.

Summer 2025 – our Guided Tours
Preconditions:
The High Coast is partly quite exposed. The challenges are mainly the wind, and the waves that can build up from the wind. It is virtually impossible to beforehand promise a certain tour/route can be paddled some certain dates in the future, since the weather is not predictable. To make it possible for not only the very experienced sea kayaker to paddle the High Coast, we now try out a new concept. We provide experienced guides, familiar with the conditions of the High Coast, and we receive the right for the guides to adapt both the tour area/goal, and the route while out, to the weather and the capacity of the group members. Our first priority is safety – someone may capsize, but there should not be any hazard for life or limb. We do our best to give each group an optimal experience the given dates, BUT both the goal and the route can be another than what is preliminary advertised below. This means that YOU may feel that you could paddle a more challenging way, but we have the responsibility for the whole group. Your willingness to adhere to these rules is a precondition for tour kayaking with us. – This said, we are out to ENJOY! 🙂
July 9 – 11 – preliminary goal Trysunda
- 9 – 11 July we arrange a guided tour
- Our aim, if weather is suitable, is kayaking to and around Trysunda
- Depending on weather/wind, and the experience of the group members, we may need to change route from the one given below, and even change the goal/area we paddle in (e g to one of the areas we mention at the top of this page)
- Price includes transport between our base (Ramö 124 – 131, Lunde) and the starting/end point of the kayaking tour
- Two guides with great experience of kayaking the High Coast will lead during the three days
- NOTE: it is preferable that you arrive on the afternoon/evening of July 8th (you can camp on our lawn towards by the sea/River), so we can pack up and leave on the morning of July 9th
- Return to our base at Ramö 124 – 131, Lunde, is planned for evening July 11th around 6 – 8 PM; it may be later, since we do not leave anyone behind..
- Price for three days, excluding gear, is 2000 SEK per person
- If you do not have your own kayak, you can rent one from us, prices as under ”Booking”
- We present below the first route choice Trysunda in maps
- Minimum required experience: you must be able to swim 400 m; should have kayaked at least a few day tours, but do not need to be an experienced sea kayaker; you must be able to handle your own tent, camping stove/food etc
- All booking and communication is per e-mail, where we can also discuss if this tour is a right choice for you
- Most welcome with your booking/enquiry!
